Where Can I Serve?

At Georgetown Baptist Church we love to see people use their gifts and abilities to glorify God. He has made each of us unique and we are placed together in order to build the Church. There are many opportunities to serve and we would be glad to help you find where and how you can get started

Outreach Ministries

Jesus said “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” God has entrusted His people with the mission of sharing the life-giving message of the gospel with the world. This is something that we are called to do both as a Church and individually. GBC will provide both training and opportunities in order to accomplish this mission.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! God loves to hear people lifting their voices in song. And there is something special about hearing a Church worshipping together in song. We can praise our
King with our voices in many different ways and at many different times. At our Church we encourage everyone to sing during our corporate worship times, but we also have opportunities for special music and praise team ministry.

Media & Technology

The technology that is available to us today has opened up chances to serve that we never dreamed of a decade ago. Whether it is running the sound and PowerPoint or managing our website, app and social media there is a lot that goes into the technology aspect of a Church. If this is something that you are interested in we have a place for you to serve

Service Projects

There are always chances to serve God with the work of our hands. The Church building and grounds will very often have needs that must be taken care of. There are workdays and projects that are available to anyone in the Church. We may have opportunities to help with the needs of some of our older Church members. And we will engage our community in order to show ourselves to be the hands and feet of Christ.

We firmly believe that God moves when His people call upon Him in faith. It is our desire that God will work in a mighty way in our Church and community. In order to see this happen we are asking for people to devote themselves to prayer. In addition to a commitment to personal times of prayer we will offer a Tuesday evening prayer meeting at 6:30 PM
